We want you to be comfortable and look great for the weekend!
Friday night - Sangeet & Welcome Dinner: Cocktail or Indian attire. Women can wear a cocktail dress, lehenga, saree, or anarkali. Men can wear a suit, dinner jacket, sherwani, or kurta pyjama.
Saturday morning - Baraat and Wedding Ceremony: Traditional Indian or semi-formal attire. Please note, this event will be outdoors - please dress accordingly!
Saturday evening - Reception: Black tie (optional). For women: an evening/ball gown, full-length dress, formal cocktail dress, or formal Indian attire. For men: a tuxedo or a dark formal suit/dinner jacket with tie.
If your invitation says "and Guest" or your partner's name, then you are welcome to bring someone with you! If your invitation says "Family," your whole immediate family is invited. Otherwise we'd prefer if it's just you!
If your invitation says "Family," your whole immediate family, including kids, is invited. Otherwise we would prefer to keep the celebration 16 and up! If it is important to you to bring your kids, please reach out to us.
Towards the end of October in Washington DC, the afternoon temperatures are typically in the mid- to upper-60s F, with evening and early morning temperatures in the mid- 40s! Some of the wedding events will be outside; please plan accordingly so you can enjoy the fall weather!
While it is not required, we welcome everyone to wear Indian attire at the Baraat and Wedding Ceremony on Saturday! Please note, red is typically reserved for the bride.
